PERFORMANCE: 2005-06
Society’s performance during the financial year 2005-06, has been one of the best since its inception in the year 1980.
The salient features are as follows:
Lowest cost of urea production in the whole country.
Least subsidy on fertilizers in the industry from Govt. of India.
Highest contribution to the exchequer in the cooperative sector, in the country.
Highest dividend payment to share holders in the cooperative sector, in the country.
Highest dividend payment to Govt. of India in the cooperative sector, in the country.
Energy efficiency of international standards achieved.
72 new records were established in all spheres of its activity.
Net profit of Rs 280 Crore. was achieved, which is 50% more than last year.
Achieved First position in Ammonia
capacity utilization in mega size gas based plants in the industry, in the country, for the last 3 years continuously.
Highest production of urea of 18.07 lakh MT since inception.
Highest sale of urea of 28.2 lakh MT since inception, which is 41% more than last year.
Achieved First Position in Production & sale of Bio-fertilizers in the country.
Highest ever production & sale of seeds of 1.60 & 1.53 lakh qtls. respectively.
Highest ever productivity of 1826 MT
production/Employee & 4315 MT sale/Employee which is 4% and 49% respectively higher
than last year.
6.8 Lakh farmers benefited from 1707 programmes.
60 Villages were adopted
Highest profitability of Rs. 2.84 Crore for Seeds was achieved, which is 13% more than last year.
The joint venture fertilizer project in Oman in the very 1st year of its operation:
1. Achieved 105% capacity utilization against 90% planned.
2. It was completed with a saving of US $ 74 million.
3. It achieved a surplus of US $ 47 million against the projected US $ 37 million.
KRIBHCO acquired a private co. to form a JV co. KRIBHCO Shyam Fertilizers Ltd.(KSFL).Prior to acquisition it was operating at less than 100 % capacity utilization for the last 5 yrs. However within 3 months of acquisition:
1. The capacity utilization was increased from less than 100% to 104% for the whole year.
2. The production was increased by 234 MT per day (10%).
3. The specific consumption was reduced from 5.85 Gcal/MT to 5.76 Gcal/MT (1.6 %).
