KRIBHCO initiated Seed Production programme in 1990-91 to provide quality seeds to the farmers through KBSKs in the state of Punjab, Haryana & U.P. Encouraging response of the farmers towards KRIBHCO seeds has prompted KRIBHCO to extend its activity in 9 states. The quality seeds of different crops are being made available to the farmers through KBSKs, Cooperative Societies and State Marketing Cooperative Federations in different states. KRIBHCO has set up ten most modern seed processing plants in six states. During 2006-07, KRIBHCO has constructed its Seed cum Fertilizer Complex at Dewas on a plot area of 7360 sq. meters acquired from MP Audyogik Kendra Vikas Nagar (Indore) Limited.) It has a Seed Processing Unit and has a capacity to store 35000 Qtls. Of seeds and 2000 mts . Society is establishing four new seed units at Hanumangarh (Rajasthan), Ludhiana (Punjab), and Bulandshahar and Gorakhpur (U.P.)

Total installed capacity of seed production is about 2.75 Lakh Quintals.
