Contribution to Kerala CM Relief Fund
New Delhi, October 11th 2018 Kerala has faced worst ever floods in the century in the month of August, 2018. More than 50 lakh people in the State were affected and over 200 were killed amid torrential rain and floods and caused severe damage to fields, homes and other infrastructure. In order to provide help to the affected people of Kerala, Management of KRIBHCO appealed to all employees to contribute at least one day's salary towards Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund, Kerala. Accordingly, Employees have contributed an amount of Rs. 44,25,748/- towards the Relief Fund.
Shri N Sambasiva Rao, Managing Director has presented the above cheque to Shri Puneet Kumar, IAS,Resident Commissioner, Kerala Government on 11.10.2018 at Kerala House, New Delhi. Shri S S Yadav, Executive Director (HR) and Shri L P Goodwin, Sr. Manager(M) were also present on the occasion.
Two Cooperators Felicitated in 38th Annual General Meeting
The annual accounts have been approved by the Society in its 38th Annual General Body Meeting held on 20th September,2018 which was presided over by Dr. Chandra Pal Singh, Chairman, KRIBHCO and attended by Directors of KRIBHCO and delegates of member cooperatives from different parts of the country at NCUI auditorium, New Delhi.
KRIBHCO’s urea production during the year 2017-18 was 22.54 lakh MT and Ammonia production was 13.26 lakh MT with 102.72% and 106.27% capacity utilisation respectively. The total sales of urea by KRIBHCO, including production of its joint venture plants at OMAN and Shahjahanpur( UP), was to the tune of 44.03 lakh MT, which accounts for 14.51% of the total urea sold in the country.
The Society’s product basket consists of not only Neem Coated Urea but also Bio Fertilizers, Compost, Certified Seeds, Bt Cotton Seeds, Hybrid Seeds, SSP, Zinc Sulphate and Imported DAP, MOP & NPS.
Fertilizer industry continues to suffer from liquidity problems due to delay in implementation of announced policies and delay in payment of subsidy. However KRIBHCO’s financial management has been good .
KRIBHCO Infrastructure Limited (KRIL) a 100% subsidiary of KRIBHCO is operating eight Container rakes under Category –I license on Pan India basis. KRIL’s revenue has increased by 45.5% during the fiscal due to strategic efforts.
KRIBHCO Fertilizers Ltd (KFL) a wholly owned subsidiary of KRIBHCO has produced 9.014 Lakh MT of urea and 5.45 lakh MT Ammonia with capacity utilization of 104.2% and 108.7% respectively.
Shri N. Sambasiva Rao, Managing Director, KRIBHCO, informed the distinguished gathering during the Annual General Meeting that Hazira Plant has maintained its good performance during the year. He further added that KRIBHCO is committed to achieve the revised energy consumption norms of 5.5GCal /MT of Urea by March 31, 2020 through implementing new capital projects with an investment of around Rs. 300 crores. On marketing front, the Society has excelled its performance and become second largest fertilizer marketer in the country. KRIBHCO being a farmers’ organization has joined hands with Government initiatives of doubling farmers’ income by 2022 through reduction in cost of cultivation with judicious use of fertilizers based on free soil testing, farmers education, promoting integrated agriculture and facilitating in the formation of Farmers Producers Organisation ( FPO).
On this occasion, KRIBHCO has also honoured two eminent cooperators who have made indelible mark on the society through their dedicated efforts in cooperative movement in the country. The “Sahakarita Shiromani” Samman was conferred on Shri Suresh Patel from Gujarat and the “Sahakarita Vibhushan” Samman was awarded to Shri Mahendra Kumar Nayak from Odisha.
Shri Suresh Patel is a dynamic Cooperator and Agriculturist from Bardoli. He has been instrumental in introducing ultra modern technology in cooperative sugar factory and has dedicated his life in cooperative development.
Shri Mahendra Kumar Nayak (Advocate) is a dynamic cooperator, great leader, efficient administrator, who has dedicated his life towards development of cooperative & upliftment of rural community.
Sh. V.S. Sirohi nominated as Chairman of Marketing Advisory Committee
New Delhi, April 27th 2018 - Sh. V.S.Sirohi, Marketing Director, KRIBHCO, has been nominated as Chairman of Marketing Advisory Committee of Fertilizer Association of India. The Advisory Committe plays a useful role in guiding the activities of FAI and deliberating/addressing the issues faced by the industry.
Sh.V.S.Sirohi is a Post graduate in Management from IIM Ahmedabad. He has worked in various capacities in the Marketing, Material Management and Business & Strategy Development functions at Multi location like Meerut, Delhi, Chandigarh, Lucknow and Bharuch in Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd.(GNFC). In his long career with GNFC, he has also spearheaded the new business development initiatives in India & abroad.
KRIBHCO Felicitated for “Swachhata Hi Seva” and awarded for Innovative Traditions
New Delhi, October 4th 2017 - Krishak Bharati Cooperative Limited (KRIBHCO), the world’s premier fertilizer producing cooperative, has been felicitated for ‘Swachhta Hi Sewa’ and awarded for Innovative Traditions at a function in Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi on 2nd October’2017, being Gandhi Jayanti. The award was received by Sh. N.Sambasiva Rao, Managing Director and Sh. V.S. Sirohi, Marketing Director, KRIBHCO from Shri Hardeep Singh Puri, Hon’ble Union Minister of State (Independent Charge), Housing & Urban Affairs, Govt of India. KRIBHCO has been a high accomplisher in marketing of City Compost made from Urban Waste and contributing in the ‘Swachh Bharat Mission”. KRIBHCO initiated co-marketing of City Compost made from urban waste since December, 2009. In order to popularize Compost, KRIBHCO is constantly educating farmers for its application in addition to chemical fertilizers.
On the occasion of “Swachh Bharat Diwas” and the 3rd Anniversary of Swachh Bharat Mission, the Ministry of Drinking Water & Sanitation, Govt. of India, organized a programme, which was inaugurated by Shri Narendra Modi, Hon’ble Prime Minister of India at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, on 2nd October- “The Gandhi Jayanti”, who was Chief Guest of the function.

Krishak Bharati Cooperative Limited (KRIBHCO), has been awarded the Second Prize by “14th National Award for Excellence in Cost Management 2016” under the Category of “Private-Manufacturing: Mega”.
The Institute of Cost Accountants of India, a statutory body under an Act of Parliament, presents awards for excellence in Cost Management to promote and recognize Cost Management practices. For the last two years, i.e. 2014 & 2015 KRIBHCO was awarded the first prize under the same category. This is the third consecutive year, where in, KRIBHCO, which is in the business of manufacturing and marketing of Agri-inputs such as fertilizers and seeds, has been awarded and its efforts in implementation of innovative and effective tools in the field of cost management have been recognized at national level.
The award was presented by Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, Honorable Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs to Shri Rajan Chowdhry, Finance Director and Shri G.P.Rao, CGM(F&A), Hazira Plant at a function held at Hotel Le Meridien, New Delhi on 18th July,2017. The jury for the award was headed by Honorable Justice Dr.A.S.Anand, former Chief Justice of India and former Chairman, National Human Rights Commission and consisted of various eminent personalities from the fields of economy & Industry.
Further Shri G.P.Rao, CGM(F&A), KRIBHCO was presented the CMA Achiever Award under the category of “Private – Manufacturing-Large-Male” from the Institute of Cost Accountants of India . The award was presented by Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal , Honorable Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs for his contribution to the Profession of Cost Accountancy and to KRIBHCO in the same function. The jury for the award was headed by Shri Sanjay Jaju, IAS, Joint Secretary, Minister of Road Transport & Highways and consisted of various eminent personalities in fields of economy & Industry.

It is significant to mention that Mr. Sirohi, who is Post Graduate from IIM, Ahmedabad, has contributed tremendously in the Agriculture field through Marketing of Agri inputs in various capacities. Prior to joining KRIBHCO, he was associated with GNFC. He has been actively associated with Lions Club of India, National HRD Forum and Executive’s Club. He is also a visiting faculty of FAI and several Management institutions. He is also current Chairman of FAI, Eastern Region Committee. Mr. Sirohi has been spearheading Pan India Marketing network of KRIBHCO, which is a leading Multi-State Cooperative Organisation, having a well diversified basket of agriculture inputs ranging from Chemical fertilizers, Bio-Fertilisers to Seeds. He has done a commendable job in the Marketing discipline.
